Trying to cut calories and lose weight? One solution may be to eat more, at least of certain foods. Salads, broth soups and most fruits and vegetables are relatively high in water and fiber, and low in calories.
They can help fill you up, so you’ll eat less overall. This is called the fullness factor.
Other so-called “low energy-density” foods include beans, tofu and nonfat yogurt.
By loading up on these and cutting back on foods such as cheese, meat, and cookies, which are low in water and fiber, you’ll be able to eat more and feel full, while consuming fewer calories.
Of course, there’s no magic bullet for weight loss, but studies do show this approach can be effective.
Plus you can satisfy your hunger in a healthy way. A formula for losing and winning!
