Patterns of negative thoughts include:
Filtering: Focusing only on the bad and not the good
All-or-Nothing Thinking: Seeing everything as one way or another
Catastrophizing: Assuming the worst will happen.
A type of talk therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help change these patterns.
It involves recognizing negative thoughts
and then challenging and replacing them.
Writing your thoughts in a journal may help.
Changing your thinking takes time and effort.
But doing so can improve your emotional well-being.
