Tips on keeping eggs fresh in the fridge and how to test for freshness.
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
To keep eggs fresh, don’t store them in the refrigerator door.
Put them on an inside shelf where they’ll stay colder.
Eggs are generally okay to eat 3-5 weeks after purchase.
That’s often past the “sell-by” date.
To check for freshness, do the float test.
Put the egg in a bowl of water.
If it sinks, it’s fresh.
If it floats to the top, it’s not!
